Humber - probably French

This safety is clearly a Humber. Look for instance at the remains of the head transfer or the patent bracket.
It still has the transverse top tube, so it deserves a page on this website, but it also features an open fork crown, that was introduced around 1895. This makes it an 1894-95 model or even a year later.
It is for sale at Sterba in Czech, and Robert Sterba thinks it is a French built Humber. Please note the saddle is not original, but the rest is very fine and original!

I guess he will know, since French Humbers are still a mystery to me. Please read my page about French Humbers!
